Yesterday, on July 14 2021, our second online event on “Algorithmic Prejudices and Gender” was successfully completed. We are incredibly grateful that the renowned speakers participated in the panel discussion and shared their knowledge and experience in the field.

Specifically, we warmly thank Ioanna Papageorgiou, PhD candidate in the NOBIAS project, who talked about algorithmic biases, the way and the causes they appear, Stella Kasdagli, co-founder of Women On Top and author, who focuses on algorithms in workforce, Dr. Evangelia Balatsou, founder of Greek Girls Code, who referred to the coversational artificial intelligence systems and gender stereotypes, Petra Molnar, Migration Tech Monitor at the Refugee Law Lab, who highlighted the gender perspective of the use of artificial intelligence systems used in migration policy and management, Sofia Konstantopoulou, managing director at Genderhood, who referred to the video games and the reproduction and representation of gender stereotypes.
