The Internet Governance Forum returns to Greece and will take place on 13-14 November 2021 in Athens! The first time that the World Forum on Internet Governance took place was in 2006 in Athens and since then it has been an annual event.
The Internet Governance Forum is a United Nations initiative and a multilateral policy platform for the exchange of information and the sharing of Internet-related policies and practices and new technologies.
The Forum provides a meeting place for representatives from the various Digital Governance bodies, representatives of governments, the private sector, civil society, and individuals from the technical and academic community, promoting dialogue and policy-making process internationally.
