The Female Code Lab is a feminist workshop about programming and coding addressed to all women/feminities (*over 18 years old) interested in “sharpening” their digital skills by learning Python and R programming languages. Female Code Lab will take place online on 15 and 16 December 2021!

During the two days of the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to take programming and coding courses to gain some basic programming and coding knowledge, to familiarise themselves for the first time with this part of technology, so that they have the chance to understand what is programming and coding, where they useful and what carrer opportunities they offer to people having relevant knowledge, and finally to be empowered digitally!

The courses that will be announced will be open for all participants to attend, who will be able to choose the courses they will be interested in attending by filling in the respective participation forms for each course. The forms will open as soon as the syllabus is announced!

The Female Code Lab is co-organised by DATAWO, Greek Women in STEM, Greek Girls Code and Girls in Tech – Greece. The organisers of the workshop will respectively be: Anastasia Karagianni (co-founder of DATAWO), Dr. Aspasia Destouni, Elpida Vountzoulaki and Dr. Evangelia Balatsou (founder of the Greek Girls Code), Chrysovalantou Kalaitzidou (Executive Director and Editor-in-Chief of Greek Women in STEM), Dr. Vassia Stefanou (Professor at Deree – The American College of Greece, and member/ Advisor at Girls In Tech – Greece).
