On 5 April 2022 DATAWO had the special honor and pleasure to participate in the third interactive workshop within the ELSA Study Group – Gender Challenges in Criminal Law. The workshop was held live in compliance with all health measures at the Law School of AUTh.

The aim of the workshop was to highlight the gender inequalities that occur in various areas of law, as their concealment and “invisibility” contributes to the preservation and perpetuation of gender discrimination. This event was the culmination of the institutional advocacy and social awareness campaign conducted by ELSA Thessaloniki this academic year with the aim of promoting legal reflection on issues of gender (in) equality and legal regulations in gender relations.

DATAWO was represented by Anthi Argyriou, co-founder of DATAWO and certified lawyer in Thessaloniki, and her presentation was entitled “Revenge pornography: dimensions of the problem and legal action”. You can watch the event at the following link. We would like to warmly thank ELSA Thessaloniki for the invitation and for giving us the opportunity to take a stand on such an issue!
