During the last two weeks, DATAWO has participated in two surveys about mapping the legal challenges set on gender equality by cyber crimes, such as by online image-based sexual abuse, commonly known as revenge porn.
The first survey is focused on the Balkan area, while the second one is conducted by the University of Lausanne, in collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences for Public Service in Bavaria, Trilateral Research, the Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (FORTH), and Software Imagination & Vision (SIMAVI).
Since, unfortunately, many of our sisters still experience online image-based sexual abuse cases, we still need to address and work on these issues. As DATAWO, we build alliances with other civil society organisation working in the field, we are developping our capacity building and we are here to stand for any survivor by providing them with legal information and expressing our solidarity!
